(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A spokesperson of the Egyptian Interest Section in Tehran said that El-Arabi, of Egyptian nationality, will participate in the forum's debate of 118 nations, basically in the segment of heads of State and Government which will meet next Thursday and Friday.
El-Arabi will hold parallel meetings to the summit with several personalities, including the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, who also ratified his presence and expressed his support for the peace promoting initiatives in Syria, backed by countries in this region, as Iran.
Local media highlighted The New York Times article saying that the presence of Ban in Tehran "shows that the policy of Israel and the United States against Iran failed to find followers in many global scenarios."
"The US-Israeli campaign (against the Islamic Republic) is not finding an echo in many parts of the world", writes The NYT.
The newspaper says the UN Secretary General's decisión "strengthened the controversy on Iran in the sense that a reorganization of powers in the Middle East is underway, where the influence of the West is withering."
Diplomatic sources stressed the visit of the emir of Kuwait, sheik Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, of a special envoy of the king of Saudi Arabia and the sheik Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, governor of Al-Quwain and member of the Supreme Court of the United Arab Emirates.
The presence in Tehran of Persian Gulf authorities, together with Ban,. El-Arabi and representatives of the Syrian government, could promote an ample discusión of an Irani Peace Plan to stop violence in Syria.
The name of Egyptian president, islamist Mohamed Morsy, who will hand the NAM rotating presidency to Iran and his pier Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is added to the list of dignataries and only a few days ago referred to the Syrian crisis in an islamic summit in Meca.
Iran Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, stressed his country is a key and influential actor in the world arena and underlined that everything that occurs in the international and regional scenarios will have no future without the presence of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
